Veneers could be compared to “false nails” for teeth
To make room for the veneer a thin shaving of enamel is removed. This is generally done under a local anaesthetic injection although the amount of enamel removed is minimal. It just needs to match the thickness of the veneer.
After preparation, the dentist will take an impression as well as matching the colour of your natural teeth using a shade guide. This is passed on to the technician along with any other relevant details who will craft your bespoke veneers.
